Designed with speed and operational simplicity in mind, the Transient Hot Wire (THW-L2) Liquid Thermal Conductivity Meter is an advanced measurement system for direct determination of the thermal conductivity of liquids and pastes in accordance with ASTM D7896-19. In less than 2 seconds, a single measurement of small volumes of liquids and pastes can be accurately and precisely measured for thermal conductivity. Using a non-stationary measurement approach, the THW-L2 uses rapid test times to limit convective effects for samples with a wide range of viscosities. The THW sensor consists of a 60 mm heating wire that is fully inserted into an isothermal sample. A constant current source (q) is used to heat the sensor wire and the temperature rise is recorded by monitoring the change in electrical resistance of the wire. The slope (m) is determined from the plot of temperature rise vs. logarithm of time and is used in the calculation of thermal conductivity (λ). Liquid samples of high thermal conductivity will have a lower slope, while liquid samples with low thermal conductivity will have a higher slope.

The RAD 100™ is a general purpose radiation survey meter/geiger counter that detects and measures alpha, beta, gamma, and X-radiation. It is intended for personal safety and educational purposes. Like the popular Radalert® 100X, the RAD 100™ features a 3-second update on its digital liquid crystal display (LCD). The LCD shows the current radiation level in your choice of microSieverts per hour (SI units) or mR/hr for gamma radiation measurements. For mixed sources (alpha, beta, gamma) the CPM mode is recommended. This instrument also offers an accumulated total and timer function, up to 9,999,000 counts and 40 hours. A red LED blinks and a beeper chirps with each count (the chirp can be muted). This is a professional instrument that is also easy to learn to use and to operate, and carries the industry leading Medcom warranty (2 years overall limited to 1 year on the GM sensor). Many instruments designed by the Medcom team are still working perfectly after 30 years of use, so this instrument should provide a lifetime of useful information.

They are designed for frequency ranges of 30 MHz to 3 GHz. The probe heads of the RFS set allow for close measurements needed to correctly localize interference sources on an electronic assembly. They document the whole image of the device under test`s near field. The scanner probes have a sheath current attenuation and are electrically shielded. They are connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. They do not have an internal terminating resistance. The measuring signal can be increased with PA 203 or PA 303 preamplifier. On request RFS, LFS and XFS scanner probes can be produced.
